In this method, rough cutting and finish cutting are separated, and rough machining is performed using traditional milling cutter heads and domestic gear milling machines with low purchase cost, and rough machining is performed based on face milling technology. By controlling the real-time feed rate, the roughing efficiency is improved. After rough cutting, only a small amount of cutting allowance is reserved for finishing cutting, which improves the utilization rate and efficiency of finishing cutting machine tools, effectively reduces tool consumption, and greatly reduces arc teeth. The manufacturing cost of bevel gears enhances the price competitiveness of gears.

In the past 30 years, China has been following the international advanced manufacturing technology in the field of spiral bevel gear manufacturing. Based on the status quo of domestic manufacturing, it has carried out fruitful technological innovations, explored and applied new manufacturing methods in many aspects, solved key technical problems such as digital design of spiral bevel gears, meshing performance analysis, digital forming control and measurement, and developed a product suitable for my country's national conditions. Design and manufacturing technology, CNC gear milling machine, gear grinding machine and gear measurement equipment have formed a perfect digital manufacturing technology system for spiral bevel gears in my country.
